Summons reissued on President, PM in Tissa case

Summons were reissued on President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe today in the case against former UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake.

The President and Prime Minister were scheduled to appear in court today but court was informed that the President and Prime Minister were unavailable. As a result the Colombo High Court issued fresh summons on the President and Prime Minister. The case is to be heard again in July. Attanayake was accused by the President and Prime Minister of forging their signatures in documents he displayed during the last presidential election campaign. (Colombo Gazette)
