Deepal Sooriyarachchi, the former CEO of Eagle Insurance and one of the most recognised trainers in the country will be conducting an ‘Inward Bound’ program at Santani Wellness Resort and Spa in Kandy. Targeted for top managers, this three-day program will focus on centring and aligning oneself, and having a greater understanding of your mind, body and soul.

Sooriyarachchi stated that, “This retreat is a result of 30 years of experimentation with my own life. The insights I gained practicing and living the principles of mindfulness in a corporate setting, and the benefits I gained make this a unique program. The program is based on my book titled ‘Inward Bound for Mindful Living’.

Santani Wellness CEO Vickum Nawagamuwage stated, “We are very excited to work with Deepal on this innovative experience. This goes far beyond any executive training programs done locally, and is a first such training that focuses on corporate mindfulness. Such trainings have created many a high performing team in other countries and would be a welcome addition to the local executive training calendar. In addition, the attendees will have the ability to experience Sri Lanka’s best fine dining, alongside access to one of the world’s best destination spas.”

Santani was recently recognised as one of the top 40 hotels in the world by Travel + Leisure and as one of the top destination spas in the world by the same publication. Conde Nast Traveller, Vogue and a number of other international publications have also featured the property.

At this program, participants will be able to appreciate the importance of mindfulness as a leadership competency that improves personal proficiency by becoming aware of what happens in the present. They will also learn a number of techniques and be able to identify the most appropriate technique for themselves. In addition, the seamless integration of mindfulness in to one’s corporate life and personal life will also be highlighted during this program.

This inward bound retreat will be an extension of Sooriyarachchi’s work in this space, and Santani’s involvement in this retreat will add significant value through the different mindful features the property offers. This program is priced at Rs. 75,000 per person on twin sharing basis, and Rs. 110,000 per person on single sharing basis. This cost includes six gourmet meals, two yoga sessions, one spa treatment, and discussions and workshops through the course of two nights and three days at the retreat. The training is scheduled for 7-9 April. More details can be accessed at www.santani.lk/mindfullness or by calling 0117223230.
