Supernatural psychological horror film Rings in Lankan cinemas today

American supernatural psychological horror film Rings will be released today three Sri Lankan cinemas 

Excel Cinema, Liberty Lite and Sky Lite Malabe.

Rings is directed by F. Javier Gutiérrez, written by David Loucka, Jacob Aaron Estes, and Akiva Goldsman and starring Matilda Lutz, Alex Roe, Johnny Galecki and Vincent D’Onofrio. 

It is the third film in The Ring series and a direct sequel to The Ring (2002), which ignores the events of The Ring Two (2005). 

The story revolves around a young woman who becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. 

She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: there is a movie within the movie that no one has ever seen before.
