All-time record price for Carolina Estate

Carolina Estate managed by Watawala Plantations PLC established an all-time record price of Rs. 500 for a line of CTC Medium Grown BPS grade at this week’s tea auction held on 4 January. The purchase was made by Reza Seylani Tea Ltd., and the sale was conducted by tea broker John Keells PLC.
