North-Western Province five year corporate plan approved

Government on Tuesday approved a five-year corporate plan on economic and infrastructure development projects for the North-Western Province. 

The corporate plan, presented by Wayamba Development Minister S.B. Navinna, is to be launched in 2017. His Ministry will spearhead the implementation and hold overall responsibility of coordinating, policymaking and implementation of economic and infrastructure development projects in the province. 

The plan presented to the Cabinet has been devised with the contribution of all economic fields including agriculture and irrigation, livestock, fisheries and aquaculture, tourism, human resources development, investment promotion and industrial development, and rural infrastructure development.
