LSEG’s Shanaka Abeywickrama recognised among Most Influential Global Digital Marketing Leaders

Shanaka Abeywickrama, Head of Marketing, Corporate Communication and Sustainability at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) Sri Lanka was named as one of the 50 Most Influential Global Digital Marketing Leaders by the World Marketing Congress. 

Abeywickrama received this award at the Global Marketing Excellence Awards 2016 held at Taj Land’s End in Mumbai, India last week.

Abeywickrama joined LSEG in 2014 and has played a pivotal role in driving the organisation’s strategic marketing and sustainability planning efforts in Sri Lanka. He has over 16 years of experience in the fields of Marketing, Brand Management, Product Development and Corporate Responsibility, and is considered to be a rising star in his field of expertise.

The Global Digital Marketing Leaders Awards are judged by an international jury comprising senior professionals who review leaders from across the globe according to criteria including marketing competencies, strategic perspective, track record, integrity and commitment to sustainability (business, social and environmental). 

Candidates from more than 60 countries were considered for this award. Awards are also endorsed by CMO Asia and the World Federation of Marketing Professionals.
