AMW Sri Lanka along with Rotarians from Mumbai, the Rotary Club of Capital City Sri Lanka, Rotary International District 3141 and the Maldives came together to donate a generator for the Colombo Friend in Need Society Mobile Bus. This was a joint International Service Project between India and Sri Lanka.

The mobile facility is expected to provide audio- visual screening for diabetic patients and in addition will offer Jaipur foot limbs.

According to a statement released to the media, this initiative will significantly help patients using prosthetic limbs and have a positive impact on those that have visual impairment and hearing difficulties. The reason for this donation, the organisers said, is that the mobile bus is over a decade old and cannot provide adequate support to its patients.

The handing over of the generator took place on 10 November 2016 at the Grand Monarch Thalawathugoda, with the participation of Deputy High Commissioner of India in Sri Lanka Arindam Bagchi, the first rotary international president from Sri Lanka Rtn. K. R. Ravindran, District Governor Senake Amerasinghe as well as Rotarians from Mumbai and  other distinguished invitees.

CFINS, said the organisers, is a center which looks into the best interest of amputees providing them with prosthetic limbs and helps them to get back to a normal life.
