Pakistani students in Sri Lanka on student exchange program

Pakistani Student Delegation with High Commissioner of Pakistan 

H.E. Syed Shakeel Hussain

A 10-member student delegation from Modernage Public School and College Abbotabad, Pakistan led by Principal of the school Abdul Wahid Mir, met with High Commissioner of Pakistan in Sri Lanka Maj. Gen. (R) Syed Shakeel Hussain at the High Commission of Pakistan. 

The student delegation visited Sri Lanka under Pakistan-Sri Lanka Youth Exchange Program arranged by Ministry of National Policy and Economic Affairs and National Youth Services Council of Sri Lanka from 4-11 October. 

While, briefing the delegation about Pakistan-Sri Lanka relation, Hussain highlighted that the two countries continue to enjoy excellent relations and there is a strong will on both sides to further develop and strengthen these relations.

He emphasised that such visits are an excellent way to further improving the understanding and friendship between the two nations. He expressed the hope that the visit would add value to the already strong bonds of friendship between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Hussain further added that more frequent people-to-people contacts through enhanced student and faculty exchanges between learning institutions of the two countries would further promote this relationship. He assured that the High Commission would continue to patronise and support such initiatives.
