Allianz wins ‘Best Sustainable Company of the Year’ award in South Asia

Allianz Insurance Lanka Ltd. won the ‘Best Sustainable Insurance Company of the Year’ at the 2016 South Asian Partnership Summit & Business Awards presented by World HRD Congress and endorsed by the Asian Confederation of Businesses. The awards ceremony held at Waters Edge on 13 October was attended by many prominent corporate sector leaders and officials from several South Asian countries.

In today’s business context, sustainability is considered to be a vital factor that influences investor confidence. Therefore, many business titans representing the entire South Asian region competed to win this prestigious award. However, the stable and sustainable business culture of Allianz Lanka, inspired by their parent company Allianz SE, paved the background for them to win this award.

The South Asian Business Awards honour and celebrate leaders around the region working to strengthen unity and increase economic opportunity. The goal of the South Asian Partnership Summit is to provide a forum to establish the standards of excellence for quality development and to honour the people and organisations responsible for developing the most effective actions that exemplify that excellence.
