Carolina Tea Factory, Watawala

At this week’s auction, Carolina Invoice 340 BP1 grade realised a price of Rs. 510 which is now the newly established Colombo Tea Auction all time record price for the BP1 grade from the CTC Medium elevation. This tea was purchased by Mabroc Teas Ltd., a subsidiary company of Hayleys PLC. This estate is managed by Watawala Plantations PLC and was sold through the catalogue of Lanka Commodity Brokers Ltd.
