Fashion Bug reaches out to more school children in latest Sisu Diri Maga initiatives

Focusing on career and personality development among school children, Fashion Bug, one of the country’s leading clothing retailers, conducted two CSR projects recently. The projects saw over 800 participants who were given invaluable advice on choosing the right career and developing a personality that would help them succeed in their future careers. 

One of the programs was the latest initiative under Fashion Bug’s award-winning ‘Sisu Diri Maga’ project, which has already benefitted over 15,000 students from around the country, to date. This time, The ‘Sisu Diri Maga’ program was conducted at the Badi-ud-Din Girls’ School in Kandy with over 400 students participating.

Conducting this career guidance program was Winsys Networks & Training Institute Winsys Networks & Training Institute Chairman SiyamAbdeen - with several representatives of Fashion Bug including Deputy General Manager Dr. Faraaz Hameed, Human Resources Development Manager Namal Ekanayaka, Senior Marketing Executive Ishan Godamanna, and Area Manager Faishad Mohamed  also took part in the program. The program highlighted the importance of planning for the future and setting attainable goals.

Fashion Bug has targeted reaching over 100,000students across the island through these programs conducted through it Sisu Diri Maga Foundation. 

The second CSR project was conducted at the Hungama Wijeyeba National School, as part of a three-day student Leadership camp, with the participation of over 400 students. The program was aimed at personality development, and understanding the crucial role it plays in developing a successful career.

Sisu Diri Maga has enabled us to get closer to our goal, and contribute positively to the lives of others especially our next generation. It is so rewarding to be a part of worthy projects, such as this, that allow us to contribute positively to the country and provide our services where they are truly needed,” said Fashion Bug Director Shabier Subian. 

Projects such as these are a key focus of Fashion Bug, which spends millions annually on various CSR projects carried out around the island in various sectors – from sports to education, through to health, public services and beyond.
