Double Blue Ball

Wesley College old boys’ grand show, the Double Blue Ball, was held at the Grand Ballroom of the Colombo Hilton on 8 October. The annual dinner dance organised by the Old Wesleyites Sports Club was a much-anticipated and acclaimed gala of the Wesleyites in the Wesley Calendar. Wesleyites of varying vintages some of whom were gracing the occasion especially from overseas were seen binding together by that fraternal band of Double Blue in an evening of camaraderie. This year’s dance featured an ambiance created around a 007 experience and the rest that flashes with the theme. Providing some fabulous music was Sri Lanka’s leading dance bands Black and Flame who teamed up with the fantastic compering duo Spy and Trishma Pinto and took the crowd through a breathtaking evening – Pix by Samantha Perera
