Linda appointed to Board of Serendib Hotels

Linda Spledewinde has been appointed as an Independent Non Executive Director of Serendib Hotels Plc with effect from 1 January 2017.

Serendib Leisure is one of Sri Lanka’s premier hotel groups, owning and operating a portfolio of unique properties - AVANI Bentota Resort & Spa, AVANI Kalutara Resort, ANANTARA Peace Haven Tangalle Resort, Club Hotel Dolphin and Hotel Sigiriya.

Linda is the Founder and Managing Director of AOD Ltd., and is a visionary entrepreneur and a leader of the development of Sri Lanka’s creative industries.

She holds a MBA from PIM, a PG Dip from CIM and is an Alumni of the YCE program for Creative Entrepreneurship from British Council, UK. She has followed many programs in design thinking, sustainable fashion practice and travelled internationally participating in many international fashion and design events throughout the past 15 years. 

She has received many awards including the Women Leadership Award - Women’s leadership Congress, Mumbai (2014), and Professional Career Women Award - Professional Association of Women in Management Sri Lanka (2013), and International Young Fashion Entrepreneur Award for Sri Lanka - British Council (2009); special commendation by the International Jury for changing society through education.

Linda is the founder/director of Sri Lanka Design Festival, Design for Sustainable Development Foundation, Sri Lanka Fashion Market and Mercedes Benz Fashion.
