Further strengthening its commitment to sustainability on all fronts, the iconic Galle Face Hotel has dedicated the month of October to focus on charitable activities. One of its main annual initiatives is to channel a portion of the proceeds from its popular Afternoon Tea to the Breast Cancer Awareness Charity, The Pink Ribbon Foundation.

Once again this year, a portion of the per head cost for the Afternoon Tea rate will be contributed to the Pink Ribbon Foundation, an internationally operating charity organisation aimed to create a global community to support breast cancer patients, survivors and their families all over the world.

Further, the Galle Face Hotel will be hosting a charity dinner at 1864 in contribution to Trail 2016. The Project which aims to raise $ 5 million to finance the expansion of the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital in Galle is a 670 km walk from Point Pedro in the North, to Dondra Head in the South over the course of 28 days, with the objective of honouring and helping those fighting cancer.
