Sri Lanka Tourism supports exclusive train ride for Miss Intercontinental participants

Rail tourism is an important factor in the Sri Lankan tourism field, which gives both local and international tourists to gain an amazing experience of viewing the Sri Lankan countryside, enjoying the breezy seaside on the way, the lush greenery, and the smiling faces of the friendly natives waving at them from outside. One gets to enjoy a Sri Lankan snack or a delicacy on the way too, and Sri Lanka is one of the best countries to get an interesting railway experience. Thus, promoting railway tourism will be a tremendous boost to the Sri Lankan economy as well as the tourism sector.

Sri Lanka Tourism, being well aware of these interests of the tourists, recently provided an unforgettable train ride for the UNWTO delegates. The foreign delegates were transferred Passikudah by a special train where they enjoyed immensely. 

Sri Lanka Tourism collaborated with Sri Lanka Railway in order to support Cinnamon Hotels by arranging a train ride for Miss Intercontinental participants to give them the opportunity of a lifetime. The 45th Miss Intercontinental Pageant in Colombo, hosted by Cinnamon Hotels, from 2-17 October, is one of the most important pageants in the world, full of glamour and bringing the whole world into one place. The event features over 60 contestants representing their respective countries. This paradise island has so much to give and explore with its beautiful beaches, cultural heritage, and colorful festivals. This sightseeing tour on train provided an incredible experience for these beauty ambassadors from every part of the world. The glamorous visitors were awestruck with the beauty of the country and was interested in knowing about its culture, history, festivals and the tropical climate.
