Nawalakanda Tea Factory once again achieves all-time record price

The Nawalakanda Tea Factory set an all-time record price of Rs. 550 per kilogramme for a FGS grade, surpassing the record set last week.  

This tea was purchased by Uniworld Teasat at the recently concluded tea auction which was held at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce yesterday. The sale was conducted by Tea Broker John Keells Plc.  The Nawalakanda Tea Factory has consistently produced high quality orthodox teas over the past few years and achieved several awards for its efforts. This tea factory is situated in the Ratnapura District’s Kahawatte region and the proprietor of this modern tea factory is Anura Peiris.
