FACETS 2016 Gem and Jewellery Exhibition

The FACETS 2016 Gem and Jewellery Exhibition was inaugurated by President Maithripala Sirisena on 1 September. The 26th annual gem exhibition showcases a vast variety of gemstones, work of local artisans and special exhibits from gem dealers, exporters, wholesalers, manufacturers and retailers as well as machinery, equipment, tools and other services. State Minister for Defence Ruwan Wijewardene and State Minister of National Integration and Reconciliation A. H. M Fowzie were also present at the opening ceremony.
