Kanrich Finance notches up second successive win

Kanrich Finance notched up their second successive win in the ongoing 26th MSBA Men’s “C” division Basketball Tournament 2016, continued at the Edward Henry Pedris and Otter AC Courts on 26 August.

Kanrich Finance comfortably beat David Pieris Motor Co., 66/44 after leading 25/20 at half time. K. Mihiraj (25) and K. Wijesinghe (20) were in topping form for Kanrich; W. Thanushka (13) & K. Nalaka (10) played well for DPMC.

Men’s “D” Division 

Seylan Bank scored their second successive win with a hard fighting 58/53 win over Commercial Bank after leading 27/24 at half time. The match winning shooters for Seylan Bank were R. Fernando (15) and D. Sanjana (15); K. Kumaran (15) and P. Peiris (10) played a hard game for Commercial Bank. 

Softlogic Group trounced Hirdaramani Group, 60 /29, after leading 31/14 at the breather. The top scorers for the winners were C. Praneeth (14) and K. Charith (13).

In a Women’s “B” division game, David Pieris Motor Co., romped to an easy 59/35 win over John Keells Group, after leading 24/17 at half time. D. Alwis (20) and A. Abeysinghe (15) played an all court game for DPMC; G. Sharga (11) played well for JK.
