As a part of SLIC’s corporate social responsibility initiatives, the company was the first to donate a CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) machine to the Maharagama Cancer Hospital.

The machine allows cancer patients suffering from sleep apnea to breathe easier during sleep by increasing air pressure in the throat so that the airway doesn’t collapse during sleep.  The machine was bought from the funds raised from the ‘Call to Donate’ campaign.
