Regional intellectuals to share management insights at AMDISA Conference on 25-26 July

The Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) and Institute of Certified Professional Managers (CPM) are jointly organising the AMDISA Regional Conference in collaboration with the Association of Management Development Institutes of South Asia (AMDISA) on 25 and 26 July at PIM, Colombo 08. This conference is to attract a large number of scholars from the Management Institutes of SAARC Countries. Eminent speakers both local and foreign will address the conference. AMDISA includes Management Institutes of all the SAARC Countries including its members from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal and Bhutan.

The theme of the conference is ‘Management Development through International Networking and Collaborations’. Theme sets with the objective of enabling the platform for sharing of knowledge and expertise with management professionals in academia and business in South Asian Countries.  As in the past, this conference will be well patronised by business leaders and top and middle level management and also attracting management professionals representing universities, industry, commerce, banking and finance and the service sectors in South Asia.

Internationalisation has become a necessary requirement to gain competitive advantage which results in networking and collaborations. The effectiveness of the process is directly related to the way institutions manage global and regional links with related information and interaction. The potential to tap a wealth of knowledge through meaningful collaboration needs to be explored. According to this broad theme four major areas will be comprehensively discussed such as overview of South Asian scenario on networking and collaborations; strategic actions and networking: Key initiatives; challenges in management development – country perspectives and Corporate Learning Improvement Process System (CLIPS).
