KLM offers travellers fabulous fares from Colombo

KLM’s Royal Dutch Airlines has announced the launch of special fare offers from Colombo to Europe and North America. These special fares are part of KLM’s efforts to provide valuable deals to its esteemed customer base in Colombo. 

The Colombo-Amsterdam route will be serviced by KLM’s brand new Boeing 787 Dreamliner. 

Throughout the winter season, KLM will operate a twice-weekly service on the route, departing from Colombo on Tuesdays and Saturdays and returning from Schiphol on Mondays and Fridays. The first flight from Colombo is scheduled to depart on 1 November. 

In Sri Lanka, KLM is represented by GSA Mack Air Ltd. The fare to Europe from Colombo starts from Rs. 50,400 in Economy Class and Rs. 190,800 in Business Class. Furthermore, the fare to North America starts at Rs. 89,500 in Economy Class and Rs. 274,300 in Business Class. This offer is valid for booking and ticketing until 27 July 2016 for travel outbound between 1 November and 15 December 2016.

The KLM Dreamliner offers high levels of comfort in air travel and a new in-flight experience for passengers. In World Business Class, passengers will enjoy 2.07-metre-long full flatbeds, full privacy, extra storage and direct access to the aisle. 

Passengers travelling in Economy Class will appreciate the new seats, which offer 40% more recline. All passengers will have access to a power socket for recharging mobile devices, electronically dimmable windows, seat chat, a state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment system and onboard Wi-Fi.

Out of a total of 21 aircraft of this type that KLM plans to deploy, each Dreamliner will be given a distinctive name, each one for a different flower, perhaps the Netherlands’ most typical export product, and one that suits KLM perfectly.
