V.O.I.C.E National Youth Fest 2016 is back!

Come 26 and 27 August, more than a 1,000 youth leaders from around the island will gather at the People’s Church Narahenpita auditorium to be educated and empowered on how to make positive change. 

This national gathering is organised by Forerunner AG National Youth Ministries along with other denomination churches with the purpose of uniting Christian youth spread across the nation. 

The trilingual event which will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. will feature numerous speakers, who will guide youth on leadership, motivating the next generation, standing up against injustice and engaging in positive change.

Last year more than 800 youth leaders participated in the conference and workshops, while 2,500 attended the night rallies. Bringing together youth from across the island the attendees also included a cross section of those from predominantly Sinhala and Tamil speaking youth. Providing equal opportunities to both boys and girls, last year saw gender equality also well maintained.

In a generation driven by violence, oppression, injustice, and crime, the younger generation is called to raise a voice of hope to the nation. The conference and workshops create the first platform to thus empower the youth.

Each evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Youth Alive Australia will perform during night rallies which will also be open to the public alongside gifted local musicians.

The conference fee will be Rs. 1,000 and will include refreshments for both days. Registrations are now open and forms can be downloaded from the official VOICE National Youth Fest Facebook page.
