Waves celebrates World Flip-Flop Day for second consecutive year

Revolutionary flip-flop brand Waves celebrated World Flip-Flop Day for the second consecutive year by rewarding loyal customers with trendy, fun and fashionable flip-flops. The promotion which is also in its second year was conducted via a private radio station on 17 June.

Fans were asked to message the most innovative and daring thing they have done in flip flops and 10 winners received exclusive and exciting gift packs from Waves. The energetic and enthusiastic brand also organized a beach cleanup to commemorate World Flip Flop Day which was held at Mount Lavinia beach on Sunday 19 June.

World Flip-Flop Day falls on 3 June and was celebrated on 17 June this year. Last year Waves initiated flip-flop day celebrations with a similar promotion to reward fans. This year taking it a step further Waves also initiated special celebrations with staff members who are involved in every step of creating the unique and trendy flip-flops.

Waves is a brand known for fun, youth and colour and have engaged the younger generation in many activities that both interest them and allow them to give back to society. World Flip-Flop Day globally is also centered around creating awareness on social issues; an idea that Waves is looking to inculcate in the younger generation as well.
