iOM launches WebStore for retailers

iOMSri Lanka (formerly known as EDS) recently announced the latest addition to its suite of software, the ‘iOM WebStore’.

Celebrating its 37th anniversary, iOM WebStore compliments its solution for the retail market, namely iOM WinPos for Point-of-Sale and iOM Retailigence for Inventory and Distribution. 

A spokesperson for iOM said: “Retailers who currently do not have an internet presence can very quickly go on-line with their merchandise and address a large consumer base that prefers to shop from home, as iOM WebStore can be interfaced with any back-office inventory system.”

The system is user-friendly and therefore even those who are not too conversant with online shopping could easily navigate through the shopping process. The iOM WebStore can accommodate any of the payment gateways available in Sri Lanka and retailers can add value by partnering with a logistics company for delivery. This would undoubtedly help retailers to tap into a larger market segment that prefers to avoid the hustle and bustle, not forgetting the stress factor of navigating the congested roads of our cities.

Built using responsive web design technology, the iOM WebStore can be accessed through any smart device, be it a Laptop, a Tablet or a Smart Phone. iOM says that the Smart APP for the WebStore would be released in the coming months to make the experience even better.

The built in analytics gives the retailer invaluable insights on use of the WebStore with tools such as acquisition reporting, audience reporting, cohort analysis, custom reporting, performance reporting and site reporting to name a few.

iOM has a customer base internationally with over 600 retail stores in SouthEast Asia namely Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines and the Middle East (United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain) using their point-of-sale and inventory/distribution  software.
