Celebrate Ramadan with Barista’s special Ifthar offers

Colombo’s favourite coffee house chain Barista Lavazza is introducing a variety of special offers for Ifthar during the month of Ramadan. The offers which range from individual meals to family platters will be available at the World Trade Centre, Mount Lavinia, Bambalapitiya, Benthota, Laksala Thummulla and Museum Barista Lavazza outlets as well as at the Café Mocha outlet in Colombo 6.  

Commenting on the special offers for the season Barista Lavazza Customer Relations Executive Bimal Bandaranayake notes, “Barista Lavazza is not only well known for its signature coffee drinks but we also have many customers who come to our outlets specifically looking for the food we offer. These special Ramadan offers are a combination of good food and great coffee. We are making the offers available at our conveniently located outlets so that those who need to break fast at the designated times can do so at Barista Lavazza or take home the platters and meals to enjoy with friends and family. Barista is also taking the offers a step further by making them available throughout the day for our customers who want to take advantage of the offers at any time of day.”

The family platter is specially put together for five with an array of sandwiches from the signature Barista sandwich range, hummus with pita bread, a portion of fat chips, dates and fruits and a choice from five Barista beverages. Sandwiches on offer include smoked chicken, tuna and cucumber, and cheese and sun-blushed tomato. Customers can choose either an entire platter with one variety or a combination of sandwiches. The platter special also serves a portion of chicken tikka wrap, spicy hummus with pita bread and cheese toast. Beverages to choose from include cappuccino, café latte, Americano, ice latte, ice mocha, mojito or orange, watermelon or lime juice. The five beverages could be five of one variant or a combination. 

For those who prefer individual meals, customers can select from a burger, rice, Panini or lasagna meal. The burger meal comes in both chicken and beef variants, and is served with a portion of fat chips, dates and a choice of hot or cold beverage. Those who opt for the rice meal special will be served either the lemongrass chicken or meatball teriyaki rice with a side serving of chilli toast and dates, washed down with a choice of hot or cold beverage. Catering to those who prefer vegetarian options, the lasagna meal comes in vegetarian as well as chicken served with apples, dates and a choice of hot or cold beverage. The Panini meal option can be served in both sausage and egg or smoked chicken varieties accompanied by apples and dates and a hot or cold beverage.
