The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Kandy Sports Club took place at its Nittawela clubhouse yesterday. Former Trinitian Nihal Ratwatte took over from Udaya Balasuirya as the President for the 2016/2017 season while former Kingswoodian Roshan Weeraratne was tasked with leading the rugby outfit for the same period.

The club, which was formed in 1874, are the defending League, Clifford Cup and Sevens champions. They will field two teams for the Sevens tournament this year. Kandy has currently recorded 18 league titles while emerging Clifford Cup champions 20 times.
