Jetwing Group to build $ 350 m resort in Unawatuna

The Jetwing Lighthouse Hotel in Galle, a five-star hotel in Sri Lanka, said it plans to build another hotel in Unawatuna, a coastal town in the south famous for its beaches and corals.

The 36-roomed hotel at Unawatuna will be built at an estimated cost of Rs. 350 million. The Board of Directors of the Jetwing Lighthouse Hotel has in principal approved the incorporation of a fully owned subsidiary of Jetwing Hotels to construct the Hotel at Unawatuna, the company said in a stock market disclosure. A further announcement will be made with details of the proposed Hotel project, in due course, the company said.
