Uththama Sharama Pooja medical camp held at the Ministry

A health camp was held at the Ministry earlier this week. The Uththama Sharama Pooja health camp was held with the assistance of the Ministry of Health of the Western Provincial Council.

The event, attended by medical staff including specialist consultant doctors, was organised for the benefit of the Ministry staff. Medical checkups were carried out including diagnosis on non-communicable diseases, vision and ear care, dental health and obstetrics and gynecology.

Chief Minister of the Western Provincial Council Isura Devapriya visited the medical camp and met State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardene and Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Eng. Karunasena Hettiarachchi. He presented special badges to the State Minister and the Secretary. As a gesture of appreciation mementos and certificates were presented to the attending medical staff by the Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha Unit of the MoD Wasantha Gunawardena.

A large number of officials and staff of the Ministry attended the health camp.
