Commercial Bank wins IBSL Inter-Bank Quiz for second successive year

The Commercial Bank of Ceylon has reaffirmed its commitment to the professional development of its staff by winning the 2015 Inter-Bank Quiz conducted by the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL).

The bank’s four-member team emerged champions by scoring115 points to 55 points over the opposing teamin the final of the quiz, retaining the Champions trophy for the second consecutive year. The trophy was presented to the winning team at the IBSL’s 20thAnnual Convocation on 29 January.

The Inter-Bank Quiz is organised annually by the College of Banking and Finance of the IBSL. The questions cover general banking, financial reporting, risk management, financial markets and instruments, central banking, economics, and global financial news.

Commercial Bank’s victorious team at the 2015 quiz comprised of Ujeeth Nakkawita (Captain), Samantha Ratnayaka, Nuwan Siyambalapitiya and Prabath Navoda. The Captain Ujeeth Nakkawita received the award for the ‘Best Participant’ for scoring the highest aggregate marks in the tournament.
