Anton, as he was commonly known, a senior member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) UK, a founder member of The Management Club (TMC), member of the Enable the Disable (ETD), former Treasurer of The Management Club, Mount Lavinia and Vice President of the Board of Management of The Management Club passed away in his inimitable style, silently, on 10 January.

An unassuming, extremely affable individual, always ever willing to assist, was at all times a tower of strength in much of the administrative matters of The Management Club. Anton was often seen, single-handedly and silently attending to programs and projects without seeking the assistance of others. Unconcerned of his own health and in the midst of attending to his ailing dear wife Christine a few years back, Anton bravely carried out his tasks. His calm and smiling demeanour made him a friend of all and an enemy of none. A fine and rare human being who will be sadly missed by his dear daughter Suzanne, his brothers and sisters and also by his friends, colleagues and members of The Management Club.

The members of TMC Mount Lavinia, Colombo, Negombo, Kalutara and ETD will surely miss Anton, a very senior member who gave so much of his time and effort for the sustenance and development of The Management Club during the past 14 years. They all in one voice would say “Thank you Anton for what you gave us… we will all remember you with gratitude for the services you rendered to CMI, TMC and the community.”

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Suzanne his daughter and the rest of Anton’s family.
