President appoints Thilanga as Co-Chairman of DCC

President Maithripala Sirisena has appointed Deputy Speaker Thilanga Sumathipala as the Co-Chairman of the Divisional Coordinating Committees of the Divisional Secretary’s Division of Thimbirigasyaya, Colombo East, Colombo West and Borella, and the Divisions of Homagama, Sitawaka and Padukka.

Deputy Speaker Sumathipala, in his capacity as a Co-Chairman, will coordinate, oversee implementation and will also monitor the activities of institutions both government and non-government in accordance with the national development plans of the respective divisions.

The other Co-Chairs are the Minister of Science, Technology and Research, Susil Premajayantha, MP Mujibur Rahman and the Chief Minister of the Western Province, Isuru Devapriya.
