Macky Hashim gets award for longstanding services for FACETS

Deshabandu M. Macky Hashim, received an award for his services lent to the FACETS as the Longest Standing Chairman from 1998-2008 at the BMICH recently. 

Hashim is recognised as ‘Mr. Facets’ for introducing the slogan, ‘Come September, Come FACETS’ tothis international gem and jewellery exhibition.

He has served the Sri Lanka Gem and Jewellery Associationand gem trade by pioneering, the entry to the Chinese market for the Sri Lanka gem and jewellery trade.Hashimis the Past President of the Sri Lanka Gem and Jewellery Associationand the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 

He received his award from Minister of Industries and Commerce Rishard Bathiudeen. Minister of Public Enterprise Development KabirHashim were also present.
