HSBC Premier Golf Tournament set to tee off in Kandy

HSBC Premier will hold its annual Premier Golf Tournament at the scenic Victoria Golf and Country Resort (VGCR) in Kandy on 12 September. 

The tournament, being held for the third year, will kick off with a one-of-a-kind pre-event, ‘kick 4 birdie’, at 6.00 p.m. on 11 September. Held for the first time in Sri Lanka, Premier Golfers will be required to come prepared to putt with a twist. The pre-event will be followed by a wine evening at the club. 

This year’s tournament is expected once again to rally a large number of golf enthusiasts to compete for the HSBC Premier Challenge Trophy and a chance to witness the HSBC WGC Champions Golf Tournament, scheduled to take place in Shanghai, China from 2-8 November. Roshini Sangani is the competition’s defending champion, having clinched the HSBC Premier Challenge Trophy in 2014.
