Roshan Fernando appointed GM of AVANI Bentota Resort & Spa

Serendib Leisure Management Ltd. (SLML), a leading hospitality management company and a subsidiary of Hemas Holdings PLC has appointed Roshan Fernando as General Manager of AVANI Bentota Resort & Spa.

An experienced professional with more than 30 years in the hospitality sector, Roshan brings with him strong leadership and management skills to his new role.

During his career, Roshan has worked in managerial positions in Sri Lanka including Heritance Ahungalla, Tea Factory 09-5Kandapola, Earl’s Regency Kandy and was appointed Director of Operations of Aitken Spence Hotels, Sri Lanka prior to his international managerial postings in Vietnam, Singapore and Indonesia.  

Roshan is a Diploma holder from Hotel & Catering Operations specialising in Food & Beverage Operations from the Ceylon Hotel School and School of Tourism.

AVANI Bentota Resort & Spa is a designer resort located on one of Sri Lanka’s best stretches of coastline. Inspired by a Dutch village, the spacious property offering 75 rooms and suites was designed by the world renowned architect – Geoffrey Bawa.
