Fazil Marija leads Kandy SC at Inter Club Sevens

Inter Club double champions (Clifford Cup and League) Kandy Sports Club will field one strong team led by National Fifteens and Sevens Skipper Fazil Marija at the Inter Club Sevens which will be worked off at the Race Course Rugby Grounds on 1 and 2 August.

With the Coach of the outfit Sean Wijesinghe away on a coaching stint in Ireland, Assistant Coach Saliya Kumara will be in charge of the outfit which will comprise some outstanding players in the starting line-up. 

Led by Fazil Marija, Nigel Ratwatte, Gayan Weerartne, Shehan Pathirane, Roshan Weeraratne, Srianth Sooriyabandara, Lavanga Perera, Anuradha Wilwara, Vishwamithra Jaysinghe, Soyuru Anthony and Richard Dhramapala are expected to play for Kandy SC, which won the Inter Club Sevens initially in 1999 in the club’s 125th year.
