Barista offers convenient meeting spaces for the corporate world

Sri Lanka’s fastest growing and much loved coffee house chain Barista Lavazza in an attempt to add further attractions to its growing portfolio of outlets, will now offer convenient meeting spaces for companies and individuals who would like to take their business meetings out of the office. Following a global phenomenon of out of the boardroom meetings that allow a more relaxed atmosphere for planning, idea generation and brainstorming sessions, the Barista meeting spaces will offer the convenience of a central location, quiet surroundings, free Wi-Fi facilities, great food and beverages, and the opportunity to relax and unwind with great coffee post-meeting.

Commenting on this new offering Barista Lavazza Brand Manager Lien Keerthisinghe notes, “Out-of-the-office meetings are becoming more and more popular in Sri Lanka as the idea of an actual office also changes. No longer are companies limited to four walls and a boardroom. Taking this paradigm shift in to consideration Barista is happy to offer companies and individuals convenient spaces to hold anything from board meetings, think tanks, strategy and brainstorming sessions, and even creative idea generation forums which we have seen quite a lot of.”

The main meeting space is located at the Barista Lavazza at the Gandhara outlet in Colombo 6. This space can comfortably house up to 8-10 individuals and also allows companies to bring in their own multi-media projector if required. Catering orders can also be undertaken and will be served with the signature Barista service standards. Perhaps the greatest advantage of this space is the fact that it does not come at an additional cost and Barista will only bill for the food and beverages consumed. The other Barista outlets scattered around the city of Colombo will also allocate specific areas for corporate meeting requirements upon request. 

Lien further adds, “Barista is also not just limiting itself to corporate meetings. Instead we are also opening our doors to young entrepreneurs and start-up companies who may not yet have an office of their own, to use the Barista meeting spaces to meet with their clients. We are thereby creating opportunities for these ventures to grow while also enriching our business financially and creating a positive image amongst our customers.”
