The management of Tesco visits Hirdaramani factory in Mullaitivu

F&F Clothing UK COO Richard Anthony Collins and Tesco HK Director International Sourcing Alison Tania Rose recently joined Tesco Sri Lanka General Manager Azmina Kareem and the Directors of the Hirdaramani Group on a site visit of the Hirdaramani factory in Mullaitivu.

As a company that is committed to CSR and empowerment, Tesco works closely with its partners to promote socially responsible manufacturing; as such the management of Tesco were keen to see first-hand the impact that Hirdaramani is having on the community in Mullaitivu.

Apart from gaining an overview of the facility, the Tesco team also had the opportunity to meet and interact with employees of the factory and visited Puthukkudiyiruppu Roman Catholic Vidyalaya, which the Hirdaramani Group recently refurbished. With a long standing partnership, Tesco and Hirdaramani have collaborated on Tesco’s ‘Buy One Give One’ program and both companies have donated thousands of uniforms and supplies to schools across Sri Lanka and recently extended the program to Mullaitivu as well.
