‘IT vs IT’ CSSL Cricket Tournament organised for second consecutive time

The ‘IT vs IT’ CSSL Cricket Tournament 2015 organised by the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) was held recently at the Bloomfield Ground in Colombo. 

The main sponsor of the event was ESOFT Metro Campus, while the co-sponsors were Lanka Bell and Eureka Australian Migration Experts. Twenty four leading companies participated in this six-a-side soft ball cricket tournament, which was organised by CSSL for the second consecutive time.

The 24 participating companies in this exciting encounter were Lankem, Netstarter, EZY, Open Arc, Arpico Finance, Media Define, Pan Audio, Navy A, Navy B, Ceylinco Life, Ministry of Foreign Affairs/IT, WNS, Lanka Bell, ESOFT, Hameedias, LB Finance, MCB Bank, Lanka Clear, BOC, Interblocks, Tech Cert, Ocean University, DMS and 99X.

Rajitha Fernando (Lanka Bell) was adjudged Best Bowler, Fernando (Ceylinco Life) Best Batsman and H. A. Chamil (Ceylinco Life) Man of the Match. The Runner up was Ceylinco Life and Lanka Bell was declared overall Champions.

Established in 1976, CSSL has played a pioneering role in promoting Information Technology (IT) and professionalism among those in the field of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in Sri Lanka for the past 38 years. The CSSL is a member of the South East Asia Regional Computer Confederation (SEARCC) and International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP). 

CSSL also organises the annual National Information Technology Conference (NITC), which is the flagship event in the Sri Lankan ICT industry calendar, and is scheduled to be held from 7 to 9 September this year.
