IronOne Technologies Ltd has announced the receipt of 1SO/IEC 27001:2013 certification for ‘BoardPAC’ – the company’s software solution for paperless Board and Senior Management Committee meetings.

Considered the pinnacle of information security certifications, this certification by Bureau Veritas covers the Information Security Management System supporting BoardPAC software products developed and customised by IronOne for its clients in Sri Lanka and overseas.

The ISO 27001 certification is the international benchmark for Information Security Management.  In order to achieve this accreditation, a company must show it has a systematic and ongoing approach to managing and protecting the assets and sensitive company as well as customer information.

Founded in 2006, IronOne Technologies Ltd is a Microsoft Gold Certified company with offices in Sri Lanka, USA and Malaysia and partner offices in 15 other countries including South Africa, Bangladesh, Singapore, Japan, UK, Germany, New Zealand and India. The company is a leading player in the domain of mobile and software design and development services.

BoardPAC, a flagship product of IronOne Technologies, is an effective and highly secure way for Board Directors and Management Committee members to access  board and committee papers and supplementary information directly from their iPads, thereby eliminating the need for printing multiple copies of each document and couriering such documents to the Directors. It also provides an easy way for Directors to view all documents related to a board paper in a clear manner.

Commenting on the receipt of ISO 27001 Certification, IronOne Technologies Chief Operating Officer Rajitha Kuruppumulle said: “As one of the most secured software products, it is quite natural that BoardPAC is in the forefront of achieving ISO 27001 Information Security Certification. The accreditation represents a process of continual improvement of our business and also demonstrates our unwavering commitment to a strong culture of quality and security for BoardPAC.”

IronOne Technologies Senior Program Manager Ruwan Padukkage added: “ISO 27001 certification is one of the best decisions by the company because it improved our entire system, such as security infrastructure, risk identification and assessment methodology, timely risk treatment plans, software development processes, and employee awareness of information security. With this achievement, we can assure a higher degree of security in the BoardPAC product.”

An important aspect of BoardPAC is its totally secure operational features. Classified information stored in an encrypted form ensures maximum confidentiality. An error made by a company secretary does not require a reprint and re-circulation of board papers due to its capability of versioning. The expense involved in procuring printing paper and the resulting environmental concerns are minimised, if not entirely eliminated.

Economy of space, labour saving, quick access to past board papers and additional information, are the other salient features of BoardPAC.
