Keep city beautiful orders President

President Maithripala Sirisena has instructed Colombo city officials to continue the implementation of the beautification and maintenance process in the commercial capital and other urban areas.

The President stressed that it was essential to carry on with the concept of a clean Colombo, when he met with the city’s officials on Thursday at his office. He advised the officials responsible for the program to keep the city clean and attractive.

President Sirisena explained that the contribution of the environmental division of the police and officials of the municipal council was essential to making the program a success. He pointed out that keeping urban areas clean helped prevent health menaces like dengue.
