40 more Indian Scholarships to Sri Lanka

In order to further strengthen the ‘English as a Life Skill’ programme implemented by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Presidential Task Force on English and IT as per the vision of His Excellency the President, the Government of India has awarded 40 three month scholarships for the training of English teachers as master trainers to the President of Sri Lanka.

The further enhancement of teaching methods and course content in job-oriented communicative/spoken English in Sri Lanka is the prime objective of this scholarship programme which will provide access for Sri Lankan teachers to the state-of-the-art teaching methods and material at the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) in Hyderabad.

Applications are now invited for the awarding of above scholarships, the closing date being 22nd July 2011.
