Stunning additions to the legendary CJS Perpetual Grace collection were launched by award winning Bollywood movie star and CJS Brand Ambassador Jacqueline Fernandez who was in Colombo for a quick visit recently. Donning an amazing pair of emerald, pearl and diamond chandelier earrings set with 30 carats of emeralds and 7.5 carats of diamonds, Jacqueline personified glamour and style, while also showcasing a radiance that remained inherent in the entire collection.

Explaining that the unusual earrings worn by Jacqueline are set in both gold and white gold, Chairman of CJS Akram Cassim stated the complementing pieces that have been added to the Perpetual Grace collection epitomise a radiance and timeless elegance that is very symbolic of that collection.

“We have added a range of white bakelite and diamond earrings, bracelets and rings into the collection, while an element of fun and excitement is portrayed in a collection of coloured stone jewellery,” said Akram.

“The Perpetual Grace collection has an overarching signature of being very varied and individualistic in style. It signifies timeless grace, grandeur and beauty with each piece’s individuality, understated elan and chicness echoed in the new additions.”

For Jacqueline, this collection brings to life what CJS is all about. “Beauty, elegance and exclusive craftsmanship is the hallmark of CJS and the additions to the Perpetual Grace collection etch those features even more indelibly. The new pieces are absolutely exquisite and reiterate the CJS legacy that Thaha Cassim envisioned when he founded CJS over nine decades ago. I’m very honoured to be a part of that legacy that continues to iterate those core brand values and promise of exclusivity, glamour and high fashion.”

In 2009, celebrated award winning glam entrepreneur Otara Gunewardena was a pioneer in partnering CJS to launch the celebrity jewellery collection ‘O’  with an exotic limited edition collection.  The collection, which has seen additions of new ranges quite regularly, uses a variety of colourful gems set in both gold and white gold.  Joining Jacqueline at the CJS flagship store, Otara presented Jacqueline with the first pieces from her newest Hoola collection.

CJS has a legacy beginning from 1922, when founder Thaha Cassim completely transformed fashion trends with his handcrafted exquisite jewellery customised for the elite trendsetting fashionistas.

His aspirations and passion for beautiful things was further augmented when he combined his love for exclusive jewellery and the magnificence of thoroughbred horses, designing a one of a kind timepiece with a renowned Swiss watchmarker in 1951 for his award winning steed, Golden Buckles.

Akram Cassim, now at the helm of CJS, has launched head turning collections over the decades.  Akram explained: “Our founding legacy and heritage is built on excellence. CJS jewellery is not an accessory, but rather, it is a statement that personifies the wearer. These new pieces epitomise that uncompromising quality and exclusivity constructed on our hallmark glamorous platform of heritage and history.”
