Sri Lanka Food Processors Association and European Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka sign MoU

The European Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka and the Sri Lanka Food Processors Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently at Hotel Taj Samudra Colombo. 

The objective of this collaboration is to develop and strengthen the Agro/Food industry of Sri Lanka. Joint activities, trade and investment linkages on regional, national, and international levels will provide enhanced business support to members of SLFPA and ECCSL.

Since Sri Lanka depends primarily on agriculture where technological advancements are of strategic importance for the private and public sector, this collaboration provides a strong support system to interact with the government regarding national planning processes, joint initiatives, and other key activities.

SLFPA and ECCSL expect this partnership to have a positive impact on the economic growth of the country.

The MoU was signed by ECCSL President Arnold Perera and Director and Legal Counsel John Wilson, for and on behalf of ECCSL and SLFPA President Nishan Perera and President-elect Delano Dias for and on behalf of SLFPA. 

SLFPA Honorary Secretary Aruna Senanayake, Founder and First President Ranjith Wijesinghe were present on behalf of SLFPA and ECCSL Director Dilipan Tyagarajah and Director Thomas Daetwyler were present on behalf of ECCSL.
