Shawlands Estate excels at Colombo Tea Auctions

Shawlands Estate established an all-time record price of Rs. 1,700 per kg for an OP1 grade improving on its previous all-time record price of Rs. 1,500 per kg for a liquoring OP1 grade in the Uva Medium category at the weekly Tea Auctions held on 11 September. This line of tea was purchased by M/s Ceyem Commodities Ltd. and M/s Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd. is the exclusive marketer of teas of Shawlands Tea Estate. 

This estate is managed by Hapugastenna Plantations PLC, which comes under the purview of Finlays Tea Estates Sri Lanka and has over a period of time achieved many all-time records in recognition of its quality of teas.
