Four in a row for Hingalgoda

Hingalgoda Tea Factory situated in Hiniduma – Galle, achieved yet another all-time record price of Rs. 890 for a PF1 invoice, surpassing the previous record price achieved by the same factory and having the rare distinction of breaking its own record for the fourth consecutive week at the weekly tea auction held on 11October.

This line was purchased by Stassen Exports Ltd.

Hingalgoda Tea Factory is managed by Tea Small Holder Factories PLC and the sole broker for the produce of this factory is John Keells PLC.

Two in a row for Carolina

Carolina Estate managed by Hatton Plantations Ltd. has established an all-time record price for the second consecutive week, at the weekly tea auctions held on 11 October by securing an attractive price of Rs. 710 on two invoices of PF1 grade in the CTC Medium category.

The sale was conducted by tea broker John Keells PLC and the buyer was Uniworld Teas Ltd.

Mattakelle Dust1

Mattakelle Estate situated in Talawakelle once again set an all-time record price of Rs. 950 for a Dust1 grade at this week’s tea auction held on 11 October, surpassing the previously set record price of Rs. 930 by the same estate.

This line of tea was purchased by Tea Lanka Trading Hemmathagama and marketed by John Keells PLC. Mattakelle Estate comes under management of Talawakelle Tea Estates PLC. 

All-time record price for Abbotsleigh Estate

Abbotsleigh Estate, selling under garden mark ‘Florence,’ situated in the Hatton region has achieved an all-time record price at the weekly tea auction of 11 October, by securing an attractive price of Rs. 760 for a PF1 grade in the CTC High Grown category.

This line was purchased by Uniworld Teas Ltd.

Abbotsleigh Estate is managed by Hatton Plantations Ltd. and the sale was conducted by tea broker John Keells PLC.

Pedro Estate sets an all-time record price

Pedro Estate situated in Nuwara Eliya has established an all-time record price at this week’s tea auction held on 11 October by obtaining an attractive price of Rs. 770 for a liquoring Fannings1 grade purchased by Uniworld Teas Ltd. selling under the ‘Lovers Leap’ mark. 

Pedro Estate is renowned for producing teas with delicate liquoring characteristics.

This estate is managed by Kelani Valley Plantations PLC and this line of tea was sold by tea broker John Keells PLC. 

All-time record price for Suduwelipothahena Super

Galpaditenne Tea Factory situated in Lellopitiya, Ratnapura, established an all-time record price at this week’s Tea Auction held on 10 and 11 October, by securing an attractive price of Rs. 920 per kg for a BOPF SP grade in the Low Grown Tippy/Small leaf category.

This tea was successfully marketed by tea broker John Keells PLC.

All-time record price for Ceciliyan Tea Factory

Ceciliyan Tea Factory, managed by Ceciliyan Associates Ltd. situated in Kalawana, Ratnapura, established an all-time record price for a Pekoe Dustgrade in the Dust category which was sold at Rs. 790 per kg at the weekly tea auction concluded on 11 October.

This line of tea was purchased by Euro-Scan Exports Ltd. and was sold by tea broker John Keells PLC.
