Excellent performance by Hingalgoda Tea Factory

Situated in the hills of Hiniduma in the sub-district of Galle, Hingalgoda Factory established three all-time record prices at the weekly tea auctions held on 22 November. This outstanding record was achieved in the Low Grown CTC category. The PF1 grade obtained Rs. 900 per kg, whist the Pekoe Fannings grade obtained Rs. 680 and the Pekoe Dust grade obtained Rs. 820. These purchases were made by Regency Teas Ltd., Ceylon Tea Marketing Ltd. and Swiss Singapore Overseas Enterprises respectively.     

Hingalgoda Tea Factory is managed by the Tea Small Holder Factories PLC and has been regularly producing a well-made CTC teas. This remarkable achievement was due to the untiring efforts of The Management and Staff of the Factory renowned for their   dedication and consistency in producing a quality product.
