Embassy of Sri Lanka promotes Ceylon Tea in Berlin

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Berlin organised a tea corner as part of its tea promotional program in 2019, in ‘Das Schloss’, one of the most attracted shopping malls in Stieglitz, Berlin, on 23 November.

The mall is one of the top destinations for Christmas shopping in Berlin and nearly 20,000 people visited the mall during the day, the promotional event was held. 

At the Sri Lanka Tea booth, Ceylon Tea samples from six regions in Sri Lanka were displayed and the Embassy staff served hot tea to the visitors with some Sri Lankan cookies.

A large number of visitors showed interest on the Sri Lanka’s rich tea culture, history of tea in cultivation in Sri Lanka, processing techniques, and preparation styles.
