Carolina Estate sets all-time record price

Carolina Estate, managed by Hatton Plantations Ltd. established an all-time record price of Rs. 840 for a line of CTC Medium Grown PF1 grade at this week’s tea auction held on 8 November.

The purchase was made by Uniworld Teas Ltd. and the sale was conducted by Tea Broker John Keells Plc. 

Carolina Estate, situated in Watawala, consistently produces some of the best Medium Grown CTC teas.  The management has invested in the modernisation of the machinery and factory, thus improving the process.
