All-time record price for Suduwelipothahena CTC PF1

The Galpaditenne Tea Factory situated in Lellopitiya, Ratnapura, established an all-time record price at the weekly tea auction of 13 September by securing a price of Rs. 790 per kg for a PF1 grade in the Low Grown CTC category.

Galpaditenne Tea Factory is the single largest orthodox tea manufacturer in the country and is also equipped with the latest machinery and technology to produce quality CTC teas. This line was sold by tea broker John Keells Plc and was purchased by Venture Teas Ltd.

Mattakelle Estate sets all-time record price

The Mattakelle Estate situated in Talawakelle has established an all-time record price of Rs. 910 for a Dust1 grade in the Dust category at this week’s tea auction held on 13 September.  

This line of tea was purchased by E.S.K. Peiris and the selling broker was John Keells Plc. Mattakelle Estate comes under the purview of Talawakelle Tea Estates Plc.
