SLIM goes for Datamation Systems’ FiNAC ERP

The Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, established in 1970, plays a key role in creating marketing excellence by educating over 16,000 students in marketing. They also conduct professional training programs targeted at corporate personnel and individuals in order to uplift the standards of marketing in Sri Lanka.

Datamation Systems (Pvt.) Ltd., founded in 1986, was awarded the contract to perform a complete study of SLIM’s business requirements and to install and implement the FiNAC ERP. The system is now fully functional in the branches in Kandy, Matara and Colpetty and is linked to the head office in Borella. The students log in and enter their information through the branches. The operational system includes student registration, scheduling of lecturers, classroom allocation , timetable management, attendance monitoring , fees management, exam registration and exam result management , SLIM membership management, workshops and event management, advertising and media control.

The FiNAC ERP core modules such as the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, fixed asset management, inventory and sales of tutorials, stationery etc. have been seamlessly integrated to the operational modules. FiNAC is a locally developed ERP which can be customised to add the operational or business specific requirements of any organisation. Currently, FiNAC ERP has been successfully implemented in over 400 organisations including several multinationals, blue chip organisations and public quoted companies both locally and overseas.
